Although operative clauses #1,2,3 are very good, operatives #4,5,6 are not reflective of the current situation.
It is internationally recognized that only Israel is responsible for the current crisis. It is not helpful for
the international community to put any undue pressure on the Palesitian Authority. Second it is important that the
existing peace process be supported and that the states in the region and those that are involved in the multilateral
portion of the peace process be relied upon to difuse the current situation. If operatives # 4 and 5 are striken and
a section that urges the Israeli government to fulfill all of its obligations under the existing peace accords is added
then the Arab Republic of Egypt would be in favor. Of all of the resolutions currently under discussion this is the
most important.
