While the issue of descriminating against individuals with certain
sexual preferences is a most important topic,
it is a problem that originates within a specific country,
does not effect other nations, and does not warrant
an international intervention scheme. Furthermore,
issues involving many nations and many peoples
that could destroy entire groups of people are brought
up daily in the U.N. And it is problems such as these that
deserve the United Nation's concern. It is not the United Nation's
place to intervene in this situation. I would like to remind readers of this
article that the United Nations is a peace keeping body.
I do not believe that this discrimination is right. Indeed, it
is a terrible thing. But I hope that someday this type of
problem will be the worst of the U.N.'s concerns.
Thank you.
